Curriculums for Online College DegreesDespite certain fundamentals that will be taught pretty much across the board, there will always be variations between different online college curriculums. Expect a certain number of introductory classes with a broad focus that will eventually lead you into your chosen field of online study. The same goes for the other fields of study as well. You won't jump right into advanced taxation if you're in accounting. Many of the concepts you learn in introductory classes will overlap with more focused studies so it is important to gain a solid grounding in your studies. Reputable online college degree programs usually require that you complete about 6 of these introductory courses. Depending on your experience or education it is sometimes possible to get an exemption, but it is usually a good idea to complete the entire course curriculum. The point here is that there is no easy route. A reputable online college degree will take more than a magical 2 weeks to complete. It's usually a matter of 2 to 3 years, but of course this varies by school, and also on how quickly you complete the work. For a certificate or diploma, expect approximately 1 year of study. We have included this as an example, because although e-business is one of the fastest growing areas of study, business administration is still one of the most common. This is not from any particular school, but rather, is a sample of some of the more common courses given in business administration bachelor's degree programs.
